News and Reminders: We are closed this Monday in observance of Memorial Day. We had a great Potluck and Parent Collaboration Committee Meeting this past Thursday. Please check back next week for the updated notes. Summer Footwear As we move into the summer months please send in outdoor sandals or water shoes for your child(ren). We ask that you do NOT send flip flops as they do not provide enough support or stability for children's feet. We spend a lot of time with our older children in the woods, the little brook near the elementary school, and the sidewalk, we want their feet to be well protected and prepared for all surfaces. Our back playground is full of mulch and sticks so we ask our older children to always keep their shoes on, even when we pull out the hose. Please let us know if you've had good luck with any specific brand of sandal and we will pass it along. News and Reminders:  We have moved our parent potluck and Parent Collaboration Committee meeting to May 25th at 6 pm. We are closed for Memorial Day on May Please take a minute to fill out our annual Family Survey: here's the  link . Kids Bike Safety Day at Stowe Rec, May 20th from 11 am - 1pm. There will be a Bike Safety Check and an Obstacle Course (for children 4 years and older). Make sure to check it out!  A note on bug spray: if you have chosen to use an insect repellent that contains deet, please apply it outside before coming into school. If you are leaving it here at school, please inform your child's teacher that it contains deet so we can make sure to apply it outside away from others.  Farm To Family 2017 These are family-friendly monthly workshops in Lamoille County. Please reserve a spot by calling Ruby Dale-Brown at 472-5940 or emailing at rubydalebrown@gmail.com. You will learn about growing your own food and enjoy a shared meal. All events are free!

News and Reminders We are moving our Parent Potluck to May 25th, it was originally scheduled for May 18th. There will be a Parent Collaboration Committee Meeting immediately following the potluck. We will be closed on May 29th for Memorial Day. If you are missing any winter gear please let us know. We are currently going through everything and storing it for next year. We have put together a lost and found in the front entryway, look for the sign. Potty Training Book Recommendation The title of this book might put you off but the advice inside is fantastic. The author, Jamie Clowacki, does a great job of being very clear and concise. It simplifies the process and gives you a sense that as long as you are in control and have a plan, teaching your child how to use the toilet is something you and your child can handle. If you have a child between 1.5 - 2.5 years who is not yet potty trained definitely consider reading this book. Ticks I'm sure you have all heard
